Footprints & Fingerprints

The idea behind footprints and fingerprints is to simply be a blessing in whatever way we can.  Footprints refers to being a blessing in our local context, and fingerprints refers to being a blessing further afield where we are not physically present (you don’t see fingerprints on surfaces, but the evidence is there!).

Not every form of help needs to turn into a project, and we encourage our members to be a blessing wherever they are.  However, having said that, even though we are a small fellowship, by God’s grace we have been able to engage in projects that do leave footprints and fingerprints!

At a local level, we assist (on a rotation basis) with CREMHOG, a ministry serving the homeless people of George.  We also assist with Little Lambs, a creche at Thembalethu Baptist church in our local township.

Furthermore, we are privileged to have missionaries in our fellowship that are deeply involved in a number of mission activities, ranging from serving the persecuted church through to investing in the lives of younger people through to investigative journalism (see www.thethirdway.org) through to media missions as well (check out YouTube channel for Jack Hartland!).  One of our members is also developing a ministry of helping those with PTSD from a Christian perspective.  You can see more at www.forwardwithhope.co.za

We have also set up an NPC called Shepherd Foundation, which is the vehicle for tithes and offerings for our fellowship.  We give thanks to God that through this ministry (which also receives regular donations from outside our fellowship) we are able to contribute financial support to 13 different ministries, representing both local and global mission activity.
